....so many things that I'm sure I've forgotten several events!!!

So mom has been in her new home for a few months now and it is beginning to look and feel like her home!  Thank you, Lord, for getting us thru these last few months of transition and downsizing!!!  Since April life got REALLY busy!  I went to Casper to pick mom up on my birthday so we could go to Erika's wedding in Galveston, TX!  That was quite a trip, exasperating at times (RAIN), hot, muggy, fun!! It was especially sweet to have Aaron, Kelsey and Huxley there, too!  It gave mom and I a lot more movement around the island than I think we would have had had it just been the two of us.  Mom was pretty limited on her movement, BUT---she was using her cane which totally surprised me when I got to Casper AND she was also working!!!!  Great progress, Mom!!

Down by the sea....!!

When we got back from Galveston we had a couple days to recoup and then head back to Casper.  Her carpet was going to be installed in her remodeled bedroom and someone had to be there for that and mom had to work also (not expected by me so it altered our plans a bit).

I stayed in Casper for a week helping to unpack and downsize all the boxes we could handle in a week's time.  I know that this was an incredibly hard thing for my "collector" mom to do!  And at times we bumped heads and reached our limit of stuff!  I am especially thankful for Shea!  She has taken mom under her wing and does some cleaning for her the past few years.  She was able to come in for a few hours once in awhile.  It was funny to see her interacting with mom.  The things that I would have wanted to put into a garage sale, mom would bow her neck and  say NO, she needed it.  Shea..."Oh, isn't that cute?  That'll make a great garage sale thing!" and into the garage sale box it would go.  AND, mom wouldn't say a word or make a fuss.  :)  We survived the week together and made a pretty large dent in the moving/unpacking area.  Sometimes I wish I'd had more time, but am thankful for the time I did have!  And I'm thankful for a husband who allowed me to go and be gone so much this summer!
Once I got back from Casper we bought a travel trailer and had several camping outings.  Not as many as we would have liked because of finding places spur of the moment.  I love our little "cabin on wheels" and wish the summer hadn't flown by so fast!  We pulled it up to Casper the middle of September and "camped" at mom's with the kids (Jana & Rob, Aaron & Kelsey and kids) stayed in the house!  This was for CJ & Cheryl's wedding!  That was a fun time and it was so nice to have all my kids with my mom IN ONE PLACE!!!
EmJ and Hux were the SUPER "Reindeer" and
SUPER Flowergirl!!

THEN, Dad B got sick, went into the hospital, ended up have a quad bypass.  Wes flew to Kansas then for a week.  After he got home Dad got sick with a bowel problem and staph.  So it was pretty worrisome for all of us, but God is GOOD and Dad is now able to be focusing on rehabbing for his original bypass!

Wes came home and again we headed up to Breckenridge for the weekend (a working weekend, because he did a bid measurement in Keystone).  It was a really nice time!

Looking over Dillon Lake

An artist who was trying to draw attention to deforestation
decided to have the aspen trees painted...they are
beautiful.
In between all the hubbub I've gotten to spend some quality time with Huxley!

But now he's going to daycare....(teary eyes here!!)  I know it's got to be because I do have to sub during the off season, but it doesn't make it any less sad for me to hand off my grandma time to someone else. (Their first choice of daycare...which was supposed to be a Christian setting, was not successful so now Billy's (Aaron's old roommate) mom, Debbie, is going to give it a try!  He seemed to really take to her place when we went to let him meet Debbie!  I think she will really love him!  That makes the transition easier.

I am getting ready to begin my subbing for the fall starting with a half day this Wednesday!  It will really start full force by the end of this month.  I'm going to sub for Vicki, at the church the last week of October!  That should be fun!  It's been a long time since I've been someone else's secretary!  Lord, help me to do well!!!

Oh, and I am teaching myself Spanish!  Well, not really teaching myself, but using online apps--Duolingo and a few others--to learn!  I am starting to think in Spanish...that means I'm making some progress!  I really want to be able to speak and understand much more than I have in the past!

Well here's to a beautiful Fall, 2015!  Next time I'm sure it will be catching up from Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!

...but you can go to a NEW home....

This is a continuation of my mom's transition to a one-level home!   I talked to her today...she put a bid on a house and they accepted!!!!  I didn't have lots of time to talk because I was meeting Aaron to pick up Hux.  I liked what she described to me and later sent her this text: I am so excited for you I can hardly stand it!!!! It will be fun!!!  A new adventure!!! and then this addition:  I guess it should tell you that wherever YOU are will be home!!!  I love you mom!!!

Mom's got a new home and I am genuinely EXCITED!!!!  I will get details and pictures later!!!  But right now I just want to tell the Lord "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for Taking care of my mom!!!!"
While I am sitting waiting for information to continue working in our home office I will do a "bi-annual" (or so it seems) update!  Probably the biggest deal in these two years was our sweet grandbaby, Huxley Tobias Aaron Watkins!!!  Born on Easter, March 31, 2013!!!
This is his 1st birthday!
This was at his 2nd birthday!!
And what a sweet boy he is!!!  He just turned two and his vocabulary and use of sentences is amazing to me!  AND, he is the sweetest, bestest two-year-old DRUMMER ever!!!
Our grandbabies are growing by leaps and bounds!!!  Gavin just turned 10!!!  Oh where, oh where did the time go?  He is an awesome, sweet, sensitive and wonderful superhero of a boy!!!  And Emery, "EmJ", just turned 8!!!!  Again, how time is flying by!!!  She is 'all girl' and loves anything to do with primping!!  And they love their "cousling" a ton!!
The kids all still live together--well in the same house anyway, though their lives are all so busy that sometimes I wonder if they EVER see each other!  Jana commutes to Cheyenne, Kelsey works down the street, Rob and Aaron have side jobs while they are waiting to go back out on tour with Random Hero.  (And I get to watch the grands a lot during the summer!!)

We, Wes and I, moved since the last time I really got on here!  We sold our beloved ranch-style home and bought grandma and grandpa B's home when they moved to Kansas! Our boys who helped us build the ranch on Steamboat Springs weren't too happy to see it go!!!   But,  we are now the proud owners of a "tri-level" home....does that make sense to anyone out there over 50???  Oh well!  It is what it is as a wise lady always says (huh, Jana?)!!  I am growing to love it as my home!  We have made a lot of changes inside and out, making it ours!   One thing I really enjoy is my "squirrel tree"!
Can you see them on the ground?  We have several baby squirrels this year!!!  They are so cute!!  And the squirrels are Belle's favorite thing, too!!

I'm going to post a few pictures and then sign off for now!  Will it be another two years??  Your guess is as good as mine!!!

Here's one of mom when she and I went to a Cajun restaurant in downtown Loveland!  It was a hit!!
She actually came and stayed with us about two weeks this year!!!

This picture is of my birthday present to myself!!!  Love my hat!!!  ....and the horses that often come with wearing it!!!
Jana and Aaron doing what I love seeing them do!!  Praising the Lord, together!!!!
And

Doing what THEY do best!!!

I love that my kids sing for Jesus!!!  And I am a blessed mama....and Kuque'!  (oh, yeah....I changed the spelling of Kookah, again.....this is the last change!!)
